If you wish to know more about the people that are ready to meet your financial needs:

Mel Taylor - mtaylor@fmbmilligan.com
President

As President, Mel has responsibility for all functions of the bank. However, with the excellent staff at the bank, he is able to concentrate on his main responsibility as the Chief Lending Officer. He handles most of the agricultural and commercial business loans and supervises all of the lending activity of the bank. He believes very strongly that the bank can be the primary catalyst in developing new opportunities for people in the area through lending and financial guidance. Assisting new businesses or beginning farmers is his favorite activity while helping existing operations to grow is a close second. Mel has been with the bank since 1984.

Mel is married to Lee and they have two grown sons and one daughter-in-law, so far. He grew up on a farm in western Kansas and has really never been able to get farming out of his system. His primary activities outside the bank are operating his own small farm, feeding a few cattle, managing the wildlife habitat on his farms, hunting and visiting his sons and their spouses or girlfriends. He and the boys enjoy a good game of golf almost every time they get together.

If you are in need of credit to start a business or farm or expand an existing operation, please contact Mel.

Ann Jansky - ajansky@fmbmilligan.com
Assistant Vice President-Loans

Since late 1997, Ann has been the consumer and residential real estate specialist with the bank. Included in the consumer loan product line are personal loans, vehicle loans, student loans, home improvement loans and loans for any other personal purpose. Ann is a very thorough, detail and service oriented person, which provides her clients the assurance that any business conducted with her is done right. With the promotion of Kendra Jansky to loan officer, she will begin to assume some of Ann’s loan duties. As this occurs, Ann will begin concentrating her efforts toward preparation of FSA guaranteed loans, both for clients of this bank as well as those of other banks.

Ann is originally from Howells, Nebraska, and came to Milligan in 1984 as the business teacher at Milligan High School. She joined the staff at Farmers and Merchants Bank in June, 1991, as a Loan Clerk. She was promoted to loan officer in December, 1997. Ann is married to Will and they have two teenage sons, whose activities, according to Ann, preclude any hobbies at this time. Will is a farmer and they live on a farm northeast of Milligan.

If you are in need of a personal loan (house, car, education, etc) or you are interested in obtaining an FSA guaranteed loan, contact Ann.

Kendra Jansky - kjansky@fmbmilligan.com
Consumer Loan Officer / Loan Clerk

Kendra has been with the bank as Loan Clerk since May of 1999. With some recent changes in the bank staff, she will also be assuming duties as a Consumer Loan Officer. Kendra can handle any questions you may have concerning existing loans such as payoffs, loan advances, loan payments, collateral filings and most any other matter concerning your loan. With the addition of her new responsibilities, she can also assist you with any consumer loan.

Kendra originated from Manhattan, Kansas, and after meeting husband Jeff, decided that she could adjust to farm life in Nebraska. They live southeast of Milligan with their two daughters and two dogs. When she finds a spare minute, which isn’t often, Kendra enjoys family time, photography and the Internet.

If you are in need of a consumer or residential real estate loan, contact Kendra.

Deb Filipi - dfilipi@fmbmilligan.com
Vice President and Cashier

Deb oversees the operations area of the bank, which includes many products and services. As the Cashier, she supervises the Tellers and Bookkeepers and handles the deposit and accounting functions in the bank. She is the primary contact for Individual Retirement Accounts, wire transfers and H/HH bond redemption. Most of her time is spent on managerial duties such as product research, regulatory reports, compliance with government regulations and bringing new technology to the bank. If you have a question or problem that is not loan related, more than likely Deb can help.

A native of Friend, Nebraska, Deb relocated to Milligan in 1977 and began her career with Farmers and Merchants Bank at that time. Shortly thereafter she was married to Larry. They live in Milligan with their two teenage daughters. Deb enjoys attending the activities of their daughters and, when time allows, also enjoys scrapbooking, card making and tending to her flower garden.

For assistance with most any non-loan related matter, contact Deb.

Wendy Mussman - wmussman@fmbmilligan.com
Assistant Cashier

Wendy is the Head Teller and as such, is often the first person that you meet when you visit the bank. In addition to handling all the normal teller functions, she is also our Security Officer and is backup to Deb on wire transfers and correspondent banking activities.

A Milligan native, Wendy has been with the bank since 1982. She is married to BJ and they live on a farm near Ohiowa. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and as a cat lover, caring for her cats. Being outside after a day at the bank is done is also one of her pleasures.

For Teller related matters or account questions, contact Wendy.

Jamie Schafer – jschafer@fmbmilligan.com
Administrative Assistant

As Administrative Assistant, Jamie is responsible for a wide variety of duties. Though not much in the public eye, Jamie handles many behind-the-scenes duties. You may know her more by voice, as she is responsible for answering incoming calls and routing them to the proper department. As Deb’s assistant, she helps complete the implementation of new products, creates management reports, handles large bank mailings and anything else that gets put on her desk. Her technology expertise has added a great deal of efficiency to these projects.

Jamie has been with the bank since May of 2002. She and her husband Lonnie recently moved to a farm southwest of Tobias. She loves life on the farm and enjoys spending time with her cats and horses.

Donna Meyer - dmeyer@fmbmilligan.com
Teller/Bookkeeper

Donna is a relatively new employee of the bank, accepting the position of Teller/Bookkeeper in August, 2005. She will be one of the friendly faces that you meet each time that you approach the teller counter in the bank. Donna is also backup to Jamie on secretarial duties. Donna lives on a farm southwest of Milligan. She is active in the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ohiowa, and she is a Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoys her three children and seven grandchildren whenever she has a chance. When not banking or spending time with her family, she also likes to sew, quilt, do needlework and read.
