If you wish to know more about the people that are ready to meet your
financial needs:
Mel Taylor
President
As President, Mel has responsibility for all functions of the bank.
However, with the excellent staff at the bank, he is able to concentrate
on his main responsibility as the Chief Lending Officer. He supervises
all of the lending activity and personally handles some of the
agricultural and commercial business loans. He believes very strongly
that the bank can be the primary catalyst in developing new
opportunities for people in the area through lending and financial
guidance. Mel has been with the bank since 1984.
Mel is married to Lee and they have two grown sons, both married, and
four grandsons. He grew up on a farm in western Kansas and has really
never been able to get farming out of his system. His primary
activities outside the bank are operating his own small farm, feeding a
few cattle, managing wildlife habitat on his farms, hunting, visiting
his sons and their families and fishing with the grandsons.
If you are in need of credit to start a business or farm or expand an
existing operation, please contact Mel.
Gary Dick
Vice President
Gary began employment with Farmers and Merchants Bank on August 1,
2008. Gary is a native of Fairbury, where he grew up on a farm. He has
over 30 years of lending experience, most recently being Geneva Branch
Manager for York State Bank. He was in that position for twelve years.
Gary and his wife Cathy have three grown children, all of whom are
married. They also have six grandchildren. Cathy is employed at the
hospital in Hebron in the business office. In Gary's spare time you can
find him at his farm in Fairbury, where he raises corn, beans and wheat
and also has a small herd of cattle. He also enjoys being involved with
the grandkid's activities.
Ann Jansky
Assistant Vice President-Loans
From 1997 until 2006 Ann was the consumer and residential real estate
specialist with the bank. In 2006, with promotion of other personnel,
she began focusing on agricultural and business loans. She has also
become an expert in preparation of FSA guaranteed loans for this bank as
well as other banks. Ann is a very thorough, detail and service
oriented person which provides her clients the assurance that any
business conducted with her is done right.
Ann is originally from Howells, Nebraska, and came to Milligan in
1984 as the business teacher at Milligan High School. She joined the
staff at Farmers and Merchants Bank in June, 1991. Ann is married to
Will and they have two grown sons that live in the Milligan area. Will
farms and feeds livestock on their farm northeast of Milligan. In her
spare time, Ann enjoys watching sports, playing cards and other games,
and spending time with family and friends.
If you are in need of a loan for your farm or business or if you feel
that a FSA guaranteed loan would be of benefit to your farm operation,
please contact Ann.
Kendra Jansky
Consumer Loan Officer
Kendra joined the bank in May of 1999, beginning her career as Loan
Clerk. In 2005, after staffing changes in the bank, she assumed duties
as a Consumer Loan Officer. Included in the consumer lending product
line offered by Farmers and Merchants Bank are personal purpose, vehicle
loans, residential real estate, as well as home improvement loans.
Kendra can assist you with any questions you may have regarding existing
or potential loans as well.
Kendra is originally from Manhattan, Kansas, and came to Nebraska as
a student attending Doane College. While in school, she met husband
Jeff. They live on a farm southeast of Milligan and have two
daughters. Although she has been converted to a Husker fan, Kendra
still enjoys a good win from the Wildcats.
If you are in need of a consumer or residential real estate loan,
contact Kendra.
Tracy Kresak
Loan Clerk
Tracy joined Farmers and Merchants Bank as Loan Clerk in January of
2011. She has worked in the banking industry for over 10 years and is
looking forward to serving customers closer to home. As Loan Clerk, she
assists with loan payments, loan advances and helps to answer your loan
questions.
Tracy is originally from
Johnson, Nebraska. She made Milligan her home after marrying her
husband, Brad, in 1995. He farms and raises livestock near Milligan and
they have three children. She is enjoying working in the Milligan
community and being closer to her family. When she’s not busy with
family activities, she also enjoys spending time with friends and
reading.
Deb Filipi
Vice President and Cashier
Deb oversees the operations area of the bank, which includes many
products and services. As the Cashier, she supervises the Tellers and
Bookkeepers and handles the deposit and accounting functions in the
bank. She is the primary contact for Individual Retirement Accounts,
wire transfers and H/HH bond redemption. Most of her time is spent on
managerial duties such as product research, regulatory reports,
compliance with government regulations and bringing new technology to
the bank. If you have a question or problem that is not loan related,
more than likely Deb can help.
A native of Friend, Nebraska, Deb relocated to Milligan in 1977 and
began her career with Farmers and Merchants Bank at that time. She and
her husband, Larry, live in Milligan and enjoy gardening, traveling and
spending time with their children.
For assistance with most any non-loan related matter, contact Deb.
Wendy Mussman
Assistant Cashier
Wendy is the Head Teller and as such, is often the first person that you
meet when you visit the bank. In addition to handling all the normal
teller functions, she is also our Security Officer and is backup to Deb
on wire transfers and correspondent banking activities.
A Milligan native, Wendy has been with the bank since 1982. She is
married to BJ and they live on a farm near Ohiowa. She enjoys spending
time with family and friends, and as a cat lover, caring for her cats.
Being outside after a day at the bank is done is also one of her
pleasures.
For Teller related matters or account questions, contact Wendy.
Jamie Schafer
Administrative Secretary
As Administrative Assistant, Jamie is responsible for a wide variety of
duties. Though not much in the public eye, Jamie handles many
behind-the-scenes duties. You may know her more by voice, as she is
responsible for answering incoming calls and routing them to the proper
department. As Deb’s assistant, she helps complete the implementation of
new products, creates management reports, handles large bank mailings
and anything else that gets put on her desk. Her technology expertise
has added a great deal of efficiency to these projects.
Jamie has been with the bank since May of 2002. She and her husband,
Lonnie, live on a farm southwest of Tobias and have one son. She loves
life on the farm and enjoys camping, boating and spending time with her
family, friends and animals.
Donna Meyer
Teller/Secretary
Donna is a relatively new employee of the bank, accepting the position
of Teller/Bookkeeper in August, 2005. She will be one of the friendly
faces that you meet each time that you approach the teller counter in
the bank. Donna is also backup to Jamie on secretarial duties.
Donna lives on a farm southwest of Milligan. She is active in the St.
John’s Lutheran Church, Ohiowa, and she is a Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoys
her three children and eight grandchildren whenever she has a chance.
When not banking or spending time with her family, she also likes to
sew, quilt, do needlework and read.
Shannon Stuhr
Teller/Secretary
Shannon joined the banking team in the fall of 2007. She spends her
time alternating between the teller window and support duties at her
desk. Shannon’s job is anything but routine. She fills in wherever she
is needed by helping out with large projects or filling in for someone
while they are out. She enjoys working with IRAs and is responsible for
ordering many of the supplies needed to keep the bank running smoothly.
She recently assumed the responsibilities of the New Accounts Desk.
Shannon and her husband, Tom, live in Milligan with her two
children. She looks forward to time spent tending her garden and the
calm of a small town atmosphere. She is a member of the St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Cordova and her hobbies include reading and keeping
bees.
